maybe also do a file integrity check to make sure the core files are all there.

The full XOOPS package is released with a script able to check if all the system files have been correctly uploaded to the server. To use it, follow these instructions:

3. If necessary, re-upload the missing or corrupted system files

oh i just noticed this on the test site. you should should puthttp://184.170.131.98/~vmoanet as the XOOPS_URL or the cookies wont work.

when I setup FTP, it was all set to write just not execute.

UPDATE: set to 777

One thing that I see is that probably in mainfile.php you have a "/" that you shouldn't have in the
// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mytest.com/~vmoanet');


Check if there is "/" after "~vmoanet" and if yes, then remove it.

Setting the xoops_root tohttp://184.170.131.98/~vmoanet fixed it all for me.

You guys are good!!! Many thanks to you since i can always rely on your assistance in the time of need.

Now back to testing this new host....Its seems already quicker then the non-responsive GoDaddy!
