Dear Guru,

After a long time of pure Html and "dinamic fake" Flash, it's a pleasure to find yourself always in the same "place" and "being active".

As i wrote, obviously due to work reason, i have been asked to create a Xoops portal quite similar to my old one Atletico Colli Albani (now it's 10 years old) .

I just started to work on it, (wamp, xoops 2.5.4, and so on).

I'm wondering if there are compatibility issues between the new Core and modules like phpleague and xroster (ehm... is it still alive?, i'm searching it but is not in modules repository)...

Is there a good "base" as template where i can start the editing? (i used the defualt menu last time...).

I'll be here soon for asking more information...

Thanks a lot.

Your old site still looks descent for a 10 year old

The xroster module looks very similar to the xoops partner module. The latest remake can be found here https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=74884&forum=75&post_id=344825#forumpost344825

I have not seen phpleague to know if that works or not.

Xroster works with 2.4.5 so it SHOULD work with 2.5. However it was designed as a specialized clan roster program for video gaming and needs a lot of code changes to make it work well with your intended purpose.

I made some crude changes to it to make it work as a roster for me for an American football team but will need extensive modification to work as you want.

The tplLeague module had a lot of problems when I tried to run it as well.

Xoops Partner? Is it useful to manage a team roster? ...

I will check the compatibility with phpleague (i must definetly use it).

Yes, i know, i already did that changes in the old xroster module. I hope to remember how to change it easily... in this case i need to use it as a list of bowling players...

Thanks

Cicco, welcome back!

I've converted these two modules to XOOPS 2.5.x Admin GUI.

xRoster: download from here

There are some bugs in this version (e.g. you can not edit Title or Category), but I don't think that's XOOPS 2.5.x related). At the moment I don't have the time to fix them, so maybe somebody else could do it.

TPL League Stats: download from here
Seem to be working OK, but the GUI could be improved

Well, you can download them and test them locally on something like WAMPServer

BTW - BitC3r0 is working on couple of modules for sports teams and game stats. He has created this cool Website with them:

Your last post is very interesting, i hope BitC3r0 turn up so i can ask him something... i'm seeing a module named team that's seems very useful.

If i'm not wrong, Red Mexico was a good group of xoops-editing...I had installed their template for the admin section...
