Smarty error: in publisher_latest_news.html

I have the next error in the template publisher_latest_news.html

Error : Smarty error: [in db:publisher_latest_news.html line 1]: syntax error: unidentified token '#039;normal'' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 1410)

Please helpme

The error occur when I used the template manager in xoops 2.51a, I solve it parcially deleting the templates copied in "themes/mytheme/modules", it seem that is a bug in Templates manager.

I just had this exact error take my latest news offline. Get a 500 error on access.
Just changed themes, so of course I was in the template manager...

Any help on this would be good.

XOOPS 2.5.4
Publisher is the latest released.

As I just posted under the news 1.67rc thread I had the same problem with news 1.67, also this "unidentified token '#039" error. Solved by overwriting the top-news block with an older one...

Also XOOPS 2.5.4, in 2.5.3 I had the same problem.

Thanks for the work-a-round. I'll give it a try later today.
In looking back, it was after using the template manager, that I set the preferences to "check for template changes" that the error occurred.

Still though, a work-a-round is not a fix...
The problem will remain to happen again eventually.
The more I know, the more I know that I really didn't wanna know.
