Fatal Error - v2.5.3

Fatal error: Call to a member function prefix() on a non-object in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/kernel/configitem.php on line 367

I am upgrading from 2.0 to 2.5.3. Using a separate working domain to do it.

I was doing ok but ran into the above bug when I started trying to get Protector to work.

I am unable to run piCal without Protector running, but now I can't get past this. I found on a Chinese site, and thanks to Google translate, was able to sort out their interpretation of the problem - /xoops_data/data/secure.php - was missing. So I put a copy there, and no fix.

I have searched the web, I have searched here. What gives?

Make sure you have all protector files on xoops_lib/modules/protector (check xoops 2.5.3 full version) .

Also, remove the lines that include protector in mainfile.php. New version of protector does not requires those lines and will cause problems if the lines are present.

Alos, you don't need data/secure.php, you can keep your configuration on mainfile.php if you want.

My only thing... piCal requires big umbrella to run... how do I satisfy that or is piCal simply not cool with the newest versions of XOOPS?

Set it up in the Protector - go to Preferences and set "enable anti-XSS (BigUmbrella)" to yes.
