Charset problem

Hi,

I have just finished upgrading from 2.0.16 to 2.5 and I have set charset UTF-8 (Czech_ci) - in database before and during the instalation then as well.

The problem is with names of blocks, titles of downloads and stories and the texts of it. When there should be something like this: ěščřžýáíé it stops the line and the title or the whole text ends there.

However, eg the preview when i make a new block shows these ěěščřžýáíé well.

Do you know what to do with it?

Thanks

See this thread

You probably need to convert the content of the database by doing a dump and then use Notepad++ with conversion to "UTF-8 without BOM"

have you had a look of the content in your db tables? how does it look?

I had a problem when I converted my db from iso to utf and every single character was wrong.

I found that i had to convert my db from utf to latin again and back to utf to overcome this.
