xoops_data, xoops_library

But I can't make a new folder in root, neither copy there a folder. There is a folder "data" - so I moved there my xoops_data and xoops_library and made the lines in mainfile.php like this:

define('XOOPS_PATH', '/home/www/evee.cz/www/data/xoops_data');

instead of:

define('XOOPS_VAR_PATH', '/home/www/evee.cz/www/evee.cz/xoops_data');

(similar for lib)

And this doesn't work. I don't want to bore you with it, so if it isn't only a stupid mistake, leave it and I will solve it by trying.

Fresh, but it was different problem.

I moved badly xoops_data and xoops_library.

Now it all works, because I have changed the paths in mainfile.php. I have it now: root/xxx/yy (yy=xoops_data) and root/xxx/zz (zz=xoops_library). And I have still the notifications at admin main page ("is inside DocumentRoot!"). What am I doing wrong?

BTW.. the new xoops 2.5... WOW, I am so thankful that I can work with it.

Hi,

similar problems.

I have just installed 2.5 version and I can't access /admin.php. Blank page.

Why? I have PHP 5.2.

Charset problem

Hi,

I have just finished upgrading from 2.0.16 to 2.5 and I have set charset UTF-8 (Czech_ci) - in database before and during the instalation then as well.

The problem is with names of blocks, titles of downloads and stories and the texts of it. When there should be something like this: ěščřžýáíé it stops the line and the title or the whole text ends there.

However, eg the preview when i make a new block shows these ěěščřžýáíé well.

Do you know what to do with it?

Yes, but i still can't manage to retrieve the cat names. Could you please write me that line...

$category_title = ???

I'm really bad at PHP, I see I have to start studying it.

AMS module - Banner into a block

Hi, I use AMS 3 module. I would like to show the BANNER (number in my case) on the front page of my site, so in the ams_block_top.html block. I put there <{$news.banner}>, and in /blocks/ams_top.php I tried to assign this putting: $news['banner'] = $story->banner();.

I'm bad at PHP, so I just tried it, and I see I need some help.

After this step, the site crashs and is not availible. I tried also $news['banner'] = $story->artbanner(); $news['banner'] = $story->articlebanner();...but the result is same

Thanks for answer, but I still have some problems with retrieving the titles. My PHP knowledge is really bad, I don't know what should I write in that line: $category_title = ????

WFDownloads - category into the block

Hi,

I use the xoops 2.4.4 and WF-Downloads Meta Version: 3.2.002 module.

I would like to have the category of each download in the wfdownloads_block_new.html block.

Is it possible?

I tried <{$download.cat}> and <{$download.category}>, but it doesn't work.

Hi,
I use my own theme, which I have made from default theme.

The site is: fkk.evee.cz

I have copied all from the css file for multimenu vertical_dyn2 (from script/07/style/mm_vertical2.css) to style.css in default theme and in templates/multimenu_dyn_vert2.html I have redirected it to style.css - to have it easier to edit.

Hi,
I have MultiMenu 1.82 and I have used the vertical_dyn2 (css style). It is fantastic, but only on Internet Explorer it doesn't show any submenu and the pictures are bad situated.

Does anybody know how the problem could be solved?
