xNews 1.71RC - RSS page and wrong encoding

xNews 1.71RC

Title site and his slogan are not encoded correctly.

In backendt.php, it is :
Quote:
$tpl->assign('channel_title', xoops_utf8_encode($sitename));
...
$tpl->assign('channel_desc', xoops_utf8_encode($slogan));


Is there a solution, I haven't found it ...

If your site is UTF-8 encoded the additional encoding makes it double encoded. Remove the xoops_utf8_encode( ) function.
