Use Yogurt Social Network on Xoops 2.4.5 RC3

Hello,
1) I wonder if it's dangerous to use Yogurt Social Network on Xoops 2.4.5 RC3
Because its development was abandoned long ago
2) Y t-'il of security flaw on this unit?
3) Why was stopped in its development?
4) Y there a similar module which is newer and more ribs?

Thank you

Re: Use Yogurt Social Network on Xoops 2.4.5 RC3

The person developing this died before it was complete.

There are other projects out there if you look around that took up the idea and ran with it.

there is a newer "profile" module as well as a "social network" module.

As far as I know they all have bugs at this time or will need time spent getting them to work.

Do searches on the site and look around.

Re: Use Yogurt Social Network on Xoops 2.4.5 RC3

I did in my last message. Do a search on "profile" and one for "social network" and you should hopefully find them...

The newer profile is built using yogurt as a base and "social network" (Might be social network 2010) was a further developed version of yogurt as I understand it but I haven't seen it for myself.

See this news article...

As it appears it is a pretty "heavy" module but looks like it will do alot.

I just tried it briefly on the xoops 2.5RC and it seemed to work fine.
