Hello,

I noticed there is no ckeditor folder in 2.5 beta. So I decided to copy all files under /class/xoopseditor/ckeditor from 2.4.5 to 2.5 beta.

But It does not work. It displays dhtmltextarea instead of ckeditor. Is there anything to do? Or ckeditor is not compatible with 2.5?

Thanks

It is compatible. You might need to update your System module.

BTW - Kris updated CKEditor to the new version.

Check out here from SourceForge SVN

I tested on 2.5.0 and it seems to work fine...

I updated system module and I can see ckeditor in drop down list of editors. When I select ckeditor inside module's configuration, I can use dhtmltextarea editor. But If I select tinymce, I can use tinymce editor.

I'll try new updated ckeditor package.

Thanks

I downloaded new updated ckeditor, extract them under /class/xoopseditor and update system module. Than I selected ckeditor for comments, blocks and all modules from System configuration. Than I tried to add a block.

There were again dhtmltextarea editor in blocks administration.

Is there anything else to do?

Don't know about it - I was testing only in CBB and News.

Re: ckeditor in 2.5.0 beta - ckeditor for JQuery

The only way to solve all the JSON Bugs is to offer CKEditor for JQuery not CKEditor, I don't know why we are not using the JQuery version in the first place seeming JQuery is part of xoops.

Without CKEditor for JQuery there is no way and we have not offered any single editor that works for example with JSON and JQuery or any other functions of JQuery.

Kris could you consider using CKEditor for JQuery instead you can get it off their main site there is a link at the bottom for it.

As far as I understand, ckeditor will be compatible with 2.5.0 only with some modifications.
