Hi xoopsers,
If you want to test alpha version of mymenus you can checkout it from Xuups google code:
http://xuups.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/modules/mymenus/

Mymenus is a new menu manager module inspired on multiMenu.

Features:
- pluggable skins (skins are menu layouts)
- pluggable plugins (title and links decorators for integration of module features)
- infinite menus levels(nested menus)
- auto selected menus(menus are highlighted)
- ability to assign a menu to a smarty variable(no need for smarty plugins)
- ability to get a skin from the current theme folder(theme/mytheme/menu/scripts go here)
- and much more

I hope theme developers could help on creating skins and hopefully, release new themes with a skin.
Since users can choose the smarty variable for each menu, I would advise you to use <{$xoops_menu_navbar}> as a place holder.

You can create skins for breadcrumbs also. Mymenus separates logic from presentation so you can create vertical menus, horizontal menus, breadcrumbs, sitemaps, whatever!

Please refer to readme.txt and the existing skins for more info.

Tested on 2.4.5 and php5.3
Requires 2.4.x and php 5.x

Trabis we can't download it from google code, I downloaded each page and image, then I grouped it in specific folders exactly as the module.
it's available for download now from here, and once you correct the link I will delete it from my website.

trabis, I installed the module on my localhost:
- I creat succesfully the menus + permissions
- from preferences I choose XoTheme
- in block manager :
-- Select skin : multiblack
-- Display Method : Assing to template
-- Unique ID : I put : navbar
-- permissions : all

in the theme , where i need the menu to be shown I wrote: <{$xoops_menu_navbar}>
but unfortunatly nothing appears, is there any error in my settings?

Thanks for providing a zip file.
There is no download link, the link I posted is to be used on a SVN client like tortoiseSVN, you need to install it, create a folder named 'mymenus', right click on that folder and choose 'checkout'.


Regarding the problem:
You need to set block as VISIBLE, even if you choose to assign to template (the block is visible but will not be displayed in the blocks zone!). If that does not work, please make sure you did not set 'isOwner' as access filter for each menu. isOwner takes the uid from the url and compares it with the current xoopsUser uid.

I don't see any other reason, please see check debug for errors.

Trabis, I did the french and the arabic translation , and added them to the module on this link.
I will try your solution regarding assing the menu to the template.

I haven't had time to have a look at this, but you beat me to the punch with this :)
