Hello, I am running Xoops 2.0.18. I want to remove the standart editor form in xoopscodes, but seems I cannot.

I did followed these articals, but failed:

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=48098&forum=28&post_id=211027

http://mark.boyden.name/smartsection.item.16/editors-wysiwyg.html

I did took xoopseditor folder from xoops 2.2.3, did place it in /class/xoopseditor folder (I had to create it as it was no existing), then in my upload.php of the xcGal module I replaced /include/xoopscodes.php with /class/xoopseditor/xoopseditor.php but nothing, I just got an error as in line 129 there we have xoopsCodeTarea("caption",37,8); which seems is not existing in the xoopseditor :(

any advice ?

Update your xoops up-to-date. Many things changed since 2.0.18 so update to 2.4.4, and soon 2.4.5.

Here is 2.4.4 release notes and upgrade manual.

Upgrade. XOOPS has now built-in support for those editors, so you shouldn't need to use the xoopseditor package (if I recall correctly)

I used to use this account, but no longer.
