I've tried to install the Wiwi wiki module on XOOPS 2.4.4, and it doesn't work. It installs fine (as in no errors reported), but when I attempt to edit any page there is no button to submit the page to the wiki. At the bottom there is only a preview button (which doesn't work) and a New Revision button, which just reloads a blank wiki page when I click it. Again, no errors come up with inline error reporting enabled.

I can't believe this....I have never had so many problems with addons with any other application before in my life. Can someone please offer some possible solutions? Thanks...

Gord, the problem is that some of the modules don't work anymore in PHP5

Please check the list of compatible modules here before you install any one.

Burning is working now on cleaning up of the Module Repository, so hopefully we'll have soon an updated repository here.

Let us know what functionality are you looking for and we'll tell which modules are the best for it.

Mamba: THANK YOU - that exactly the information I was looking for! I was trying to find out if there was some kind of compatibility chart so I'd know what modules (or what versions of modules) were compatible with my PHP and/or XOOPS version...but I can't always find that.

sarahmx: thank you also for the wiki link!

Basically, I'm putting together a higher learning site and I'd like the following functionality:

- articles (which I already have with AMS 3.0)

- wiki

- file manager for easier maintenance

- chat

- forums

- blogs

- the user page function would be nice, but it doesn't seem to work; at any rate, the ability to create new webpages would be good (or would this be more what the wiki does?)

I'm glad to hear that there is a reorganization of the modules going on...some of them sound fantastic but I've been afraid to install them because I'm not sure they'll work...but thanks for the link to the list of compatible modules!

hi' gord,

• To manage files : Filemanager 3.03 by Luciorota works without problems.

If you want something with groups permissions, you should try Fcabixshare by Bluemonn Inc. (dashbord). Tested with xoops 2.3.2, I don't for latest xoops version

• Chat :
- shoutbox by Trabis (http://www.xuups.com/)
- TDMChat (paid module by TDMteam) : http://www.tdmxoops.net/
- ...

• Blog / userpages : Culex and someone are working on a module, read here. Need tests.

• Forums :
- CBB 4.02 (RC) : https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=5317
- Newbbex 1.8 (more simple, works fine with latest xoops version) : http://sourceforge.net/projects/xfr/files/Modules/Xoops%20sup%202.3.x/IZ_Modules/
Still learning CSS and... english
