RMCommon Utilities 2 and MyWords 2 (Alpha)

Eduardo, I 'm testing now your work. It's very impressive.

Right now I cannot use MyWords.

When I click on MyWords I'm getting:

Quote:
ERROR 404. Document not Found

Errors
Unknown: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated in file /modules/rmcommon/class/textcleaner.php line 389
Notice: Undefined variable: xoopsModule in file /modules/rmcommon/loader.php line 112

When I'm trying to add a category via

/modules/mywords/admin/categories.php,

I am getting:

Quote:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ELSE in S:\wamp\www\xoops245b1\modules\mywords\templates\admin\mywords_categories.php on line 85

My platform: local WAMP Server
XOOPS Version XOOPS 2.4.5 RC

Re: RMCommon Utilities 2 and MyWords 2 (Alpha)

I like it!

My experience with RMCommon:
Installing was like any other module, but I got error related to xoopslocal.php. That was on every page, blank screen or error shown with debug. I couldn't do enything, so I copied xoopslocal.php to include and all work now.

MyWords:
I see that's somekind of clone of Wordpress? I made one post, copy/paste from live html-formatted site with TinyMCE and it look very nice.

So I was interested what's the compatibility with Xoops and I notice that the comment system isn't compatibile with Xoops. It shows no comments with Xoops Comments block.

I like the whole idea of MyWords but here is something to think about:
- Importing from most pupular content modules as news, smarstsection (publisher) and article should be implemented.
- I like the content editor (same as WP), but is there option for TinyMce and others from xoopseditors/?
- The comment system is great, and that's what Xoops lack to be professional CMS, so is it possible this comment system to be included on global level? When I click on '1 comment' in Dashboard i got 404 error message. Then I've notice that i have no comment option in xNews module, so maybe it is on global level, but it doesn't work :)
- I had no time to check is the tag system custom or compatibile with Tag module, but I suppose not.

About RedMexico gui system theme:
It's great and so easy!

About the errors:
Nothing much, few deprecated functions and:
Quote:
Notice: Undefined variable: xoopsModule in file /modules/rmcommon/loader.php line 112

Plugins? Is there any planed?

All in all: I admire your work, and I must say that I'm amazed with RM Common Utilities. Keep up the good work!

P.S. I had no time to test all properly. That's why this post is so confused :)

Re: RMCommon Utilities 2 and MyWords 2 (Alpha)

It's very easy to implement the comment system from RMCommon into other modules!
I just did it!
I'll post a tutorial (if it's ok with BitC3R0)

Re: RMCommon Utilities 2 and MyWords 2 (Alpha)

Is there any tutorial or document or simple module to show how to implement RMCommon?

MyWords is the best example, but I guess, it's not simple

Re: RMCommon Utilities 2 and MyWords 2 (Alpha)

Feedback:

I have installed

-xoops 2.4.4
-RMCommon
-Mywords

No problems with the installed followed the read me file ;)
Everythings looks pritty neat in the new admin gui!

tested mywords:
Now, i create a categorie in mywords, post a post.

Some options are missing like:

- setup a publish date and a date to expire a post

An other regular question, i was wondering. Where can you test the new and improved command system?

Also the clean url's i don't understand quite good because it looks all the same. Our did i forget something to install?

Looking forward to the final version ;)

Kind Regards

Is this in modules/news also the new system?
Because for it look just like the old one?

Re: RMCommon Utilities 2 and MyWords 2 (Alpha)

In the common utilities, under images, I can add a new category.

When I attempt to add an image, I can browse and select an image, but it just hangs. There is no real visible progress in the loader bar and no error.

This was done in Firefox 3.6.3 & IE 8
