Is there a way to put a link here for you to look at the page?? So you can see what is happening? As long as you don't have your pop-ups turned off.

Simply type the link in your post or use the chain icon (first one after Message:).

What was the result of the file check?
Is the Smarty debug still active, when you set the debug level in the preferences to 'PHP debug inline'?

I did all the deleting of the caches. I changed the 0 to 2 in the common file but this I don't know how to do:

Quote:
@both
Do the file check (see release notes) to ensure you have the correct files on your server.
There should be no errors, except for the removed install, and the displaced xoops_data and xoops_lib folders.

the Smarty Debug still comes up.

Did you read the release notes?
Did you try the preference setting?

After running the checksum.php I get a page full of missing files.. but the are all there or there is a reason they are not there? Like the install directory files. How do I fix the invalid files now?

Here is the results:
Quote:
./image.php content invalid
./class/smarty/Smarty.class.php content invalid
./include/common.php content invalid
./include/license.php content invalid
./install/index.php missing !
./install/page_configsave.php missing !
./install/page_configsite.php missing !

[...]

./language/english/global.php content invalid
./modules/system/templates/blocks/system_block_user.html content invalid
./themes/default/theme.html content invalid
./themes/default/xoops-logo.png content invalid
./xoops_data/index.html missing !
./xoops_data/readme.txt missing !

[...]

./xoops_lib/index.html missing !
./xoops_lib/readme.txt missing !
./xoops_lib/Frameworks/index.html missing !
./xoops_lib/modules/protector/sql/mysql.sql missing !

[...]

There are 4190 files checked.
Please remove the file ./checksum.md5 and checksum.php as soon as possible.

1) if the check says that there not there, then they are either missing or they are the wrong files (e.g. from a previous version).

2) In some cases this is OK. For example:

a) you have installed XOOPS and the check shows that the files in /install folder are missing. This is OK, because the /install folder has been renamed to something different (e.g. /install_acoh9909809)

b) you have moved the /xoops_lib folder somewhere else, and/or renamed it to a different name.

c) you have updated the mainfile.php files, but the filecheck might flag it as missing because it is different from the original

In all three cases the file check will list all the files in the original /install and /xoops_lib folders as missing or invalid, but you can ignore it.

All other missing files should be taken seriously and if needed, you should download them again.

As a general rule, the checksum should be run BEFORE installing XOOPS.

I suggest to read the Installation Guide, and follow it.

So you are telling me that I have to reinstall the software to fix this problem??? When I installed it the first time I did follow the instructions and this Smarty Debug Consule is popping up even though everything is set right that it should not pop up.
