search.php forbidden

I got this message when doing a sidewide search: Quote:
Forbidden You don't have permission to access /search.php?query=shine&andor=AND&mids%5B%5D=134&mids%5B%5D=2&mids%5B%5D=104&mids%5B%5D=22&mids%5B%5D=69&mids%5B%5D=9&mids%5B%5D=7&mids%5B%5D=11&mids%5B%5D=103&submit=Search&action=results&id_REQUEST=4c366f6407c0df80958104e8fcd6a120 on this server.
If I do use the search field in my theme I get rersults. When using the detailed possibility at the bottom of the resultspage I get the error.

Check the right of the file search.php in your XOOPS_ROOT
Is this file readable?

Yes, it is (755)

ehm,
Folders -> 755
Files -> 644 !

is the owner of file korrekt?

define "correct" :). I am the owner according to my ftp app.
Isn't it strange that when using the searchfield in my theme I do get a result?

As soon as I use the advanced search I get the "forbidden" message which basically means I have to edit my themes to use only the basic search (i.e. define a search field).
Anybody can help me solving this?

EDIT:

solved it. The message directed me to the protection settings so I checked my htaccess. Modified it and that solved the problem
