Hello,
I am using XOOPS CMS and I want to use rich text editors for my forum members. I know it is there in the group permssions but I am not getting to assign permissions Could you please guide me how to assign permission to user groups. I like to use tinymce or any other nice one.
Thanks

Re: Editors problem

Firstly, Happy Christmas. Someone more knowledgeable than me may be along after their dessert.

In the mean time, I'll try to clarify your question:

You want to add the permissions to a certain group of users to be able to use the tinymce editor in your forums. Right?

First, have you searched the site? Here are three search results I found that may help you (1, 2, 3)

Next, are you site admin?

What version of XOOPS are we talking about, and which forum module?

Next, if you are using xForum, are your editors of choice installed? (do you see the dropdown menu below the message icons when you are trying to reply to a post?)

Is 'MultiEditors' module installed? (It's darned handy and seems to work fine on latest xoops)

As I said above, I'm sure someone will be along soon, don't forget that it's Christmas and people (if they're smart) are as far away from the computer as possible for the next few days.

Happy xoopsing.

Sorry for the slow reply, but you might have had a quicker reply if you'd said which Forum module you're using. And it's Christmas

If you are using CBB 3.08 then you will need to edit the Forums (in admin, click on the Forums tab, and then on the edit icon for each forum) and set the radio button for "Allow HTML" to "Yes".

You will have to do this for every forum as there is no setting to apply this universally to all forums.

HTH

Sorry for my bad reply. Belated merry Christmas to you all.
Editors are active now and working.

Also I am trying with sqmail module I found in official sq mail site that there are plugins which can enable sqmail to run a stand alone mail system like any other mail service. But when I contacted to them about how to add plugins in sqmail with XOOPS they suggested to ask this question to you.
Please reply Is there any way to add thes plugins.
