No XOOPS installation could...

All greetings!
I bought a dedicated server. I can not install XOOPS: "No XOOPS installation could ...". What happened the problem?

PHP 5.2.6
OS Debian
XOOPS 2.4.x

Perhaps the reason is eAccelerator?

It should mean that /mainfile.php does not exists or /include/version.php does not contain a definition of XOOPS_VERSION.

Do the file check (see release notes).

Has started a script checksum.php :

There are 4185 files checked.
Please remove the file ./checksum.md5 and checksum.php as soon as possible.

What else ideas are?

what about slash at the end ? or try remove the .org (rename the folder)

erm sorry to interupt this thread but correct me if i'm wrong ...arent XOOPS lib and XOOPS data should be outside document root ?

example above

isn't it should be in var/www/radio-hobby/data/www/

instead of

var/www/radio-hobby/data/www/radio-hobby/

No it is without slash.

I don't expect that will help.
Altough the directory tree is quite odd with two times the www in it.

Yes they do, but lets not complicate things for the moment. This can be done easy afterwards.

It depends where the web root is.
Which directory contains test.jpg if one surfs to thesite.com/test.jpg ?
Is XOOPS placed in the web root or in a (sub) subdirectory?

I have bought a server a day ago, it is test installation. I check as it is installed XOOPS. It is not installed. If to load files on a server and to transfer a database - a site works.

But the server with that IP address, doesn't seems the place where XOOPS is installed?

Check also once if sessions are enabled.

I see there is suhosin installed. You may search for that on the forums. Some limitations by it can make problems, when handling large forms later as eg permissions with many modules. For install it should not matter.
