You must set the 'publish on front page' selection box to Yes, when editing the article. It seems none have this attribute, because they are not listed when accessing /modules/news/ (compare to
News on XOOPS.org).
For the other modules, check the preferences, some modules offer RSS feeds others don't. Some syndication modules as
RSSFit may require a plugin to allow a specific module to publicize its contents. These are to searched on the internet (google for rssfit plugin required_module_name) or to be written by yourself by taking the provided plugins as example.
