There are some *en.* files, check you have also the *si.* counterpart.

Your screenshot is too small to view or read anything.

_required is defined in global.php, but is not part of the captcha problem.

Was the generated html code (view source in the browser) the same for the captcha form elements in both languages?
Was the image present in the uploads directory?
