How can I hide the smileys? I want to use them just not have them all showing in a line at the bottom as i have many and it throws the page off big time

sorry i found that it in preference, however the area where you type your message is too long and still throws the page off

First check the Preference parameter "Text Line Length". This determines the input box display length. If that is set correctly be sure and check your theme's style sheet to see if one of the module's style sheet values is being over-ridden.
