New Theme for Xoops.org Site!!

Hi everybody, As you know, few dias ago, my theme wins the "xoops theme competition" then, it's time to start the work and create the new theme for xoops.

Things to do...

There are many, many things that must be do... this is a preliminary list:

  1. Integrate a design team. All people with design skills can participate but also those persons with fresh ideas and new concepts (even if they do not knows nothing about design).
  2. Define the sections needs. This point will be usefull to specify which templates must be redesigned from which modules.
  3. Create the theme "directory and files structure". By specifying this we can create a "new standars" to the themes creation and could be usefull for other designers that wish to design new themes for XOOPS (I have several ideas about it).

As I said... this is only a preliminary list, many things left...

Great news! Hope you had a nice holiday.

I'd like to put my name forward to assist in anyway I can. Though not a designer by trade, I am proficient with photoshop & other graphics apps, and think I have a fair eye for composition and color.

I also run a number of XOOPS based sites, and am happy to add my 2¥ of opinion as regards modules the new x.o might employ.

Thanks for taking the initiative, BitC3RO. Let's get this show on the road!

I too hope that you had nice vacation! Welcome back!!!

I hope that a lot of XOOPS designers will join this team and will make the new XOOPS Theme a "WOW-theme"

Please be creative with the content setup - what should be on the central Domain, what should go to sub-domains, etc.

I have a lot of ideas too.

My Skills?

Think you mean the following, if I´m wrong, tell me.

- Good experience in Photoshop
- Building themes xhtml and css validated
- Flash (think we don´t need it)
- Building themes with a logic strukture
- Made over 100 different XOOPS themes over the years ( a lot of the websites are down now )
- I made an overwork of many modules for a better look and made them tabless
- And don´t forget, I know the best places for free icons and pics

By the way, what´s with my and insraq as the other themes in the core download?? Have to know it to make an overwork and make it ready for a fresh install
