I run a military site, and like every branch of the military in the world, we love acronym's. According to this DOD website there are 6,353 acronyms.

I have seen what I want done with certain ad scripts. Where various keywords that are in the forum or articles section of the site bring a pop-up while hovering over the word. I want to do something similar to this but instead use my own database with these military acronyms.

I think the easiest way would be that you make a textsanitizer extension in the manner as eg for the flash tag (/class/textsanitizer/flash/). In that way you can surround your words with eg [acronym]DOD[/acronym]. The extension will look up the word in a table and merge the definition in the replacement html, so that when the user hoover over the word, the definition will popup.

I found textsanitizer in my Frameworks folder, but it doesn't have a flash folder.
