Directory module for xoops

I have a requirement for: a directory where users can search a directory for the nearest listing by location. Searching via name, town/city or postcode listed alphabetically.

Is there a XOOPS module for this ? I don't think mx-directory can do this - can it?

i think EFQ Directory can do this (hope I spelled it alright).

Yes, I have looked at that but I don't think it can search on the nearest location by post code. I think searching by postcode might be quite a complex feature. Also it depend on the country too.

If anyone can offer any tips on how to do this, I might be interested in creating a hack for this.

If you mean distance (in km (or miles)), then you need some kind of grid positioning calculation as is done in GPS software.
