Installation FAQ for Google Analytics and Xoops?

Hello folks,

I'm having some problems getting my google analytics code to work. I'm following the instructions from a forum post from 2006 and its just not working.

The google site keeps telling me that the 'tracking is not installed'

I've tried embedding the code at the very bottom of the page after 'body' and also before 'body'.

Doesn't work.

Can anyone point me to a step by step set of instructions that includes how to embed the code and how to configure the XOOPS preferences once the code is embedded.

I'm using XOOPS 20181

i put it before the < / body > tag in the theme html and that worked alright for me. no other settings. here is a piece of code for ya:

Do you mean the theme.html or the style.css ?

I did put the code in the footer (system-preferences-footer) and as long as your theme has the <{$xoops_footer}> in it this works flawless...
