The editor form in News should have an option for it just like the editor on this forum has: 'Enable line break (Suggest to turn off if HTML enabled)' This is changing the parameter you modified in the source by input of the form. This way, the user can decide how he wants it.

Im sure a older version of NEWS had this option, but with V1.63 i have under the text areas only this options:

=> ...E-Mail if the article will be public
=> disable HTML
=> disable Smilies
(i have this options free translate from german!)

There is no line-break option! The "disable HMTL" option is only for ignore any html code in the textboxes or from the editors.

Even i have not been able to find the enable/disable line break option in news 1.63 seo. i have not used any other version of news so cant say much about the previous versions.

It is not present (and if it ever was, it must be in a very old version)!
It would be nice if it was.
