I've been looking (waiting) for several years to find a module that will import the content of HTML pages into the XOOPS database. Not just WRAPS, that indexes the pages and adds the indexes to the database, and not something like Smartsection that adds content one-page-at-a time.

I've been waiting for something that will import an entire subdirectory of files into the database.

Create a category, point to the subdirectory, and press 'Go'

I don't suppose anyone would be interested in developing such a module?

TIA

WF-Channel Imports Html into the database and also wraps. The next version will also have various clean-up modes as well.

edit: And will have mass import and document creation at the same time :-p

WRAPS doesn't import the HTML data into the database, it only creates a searchable index and puts that in the database, then allows the HTML content to be displayed in the center of the page

Sounds good though. When will the next version of WF_Channel be available with mass import?

ok, if I can't mass import HTML, is there a module that will mass import text (txt) documents?

Try using an HTML to RSS convertor and use the RSS feed to import the content in a suitable syndication module.
