Yeah, i guess i was a bit vague. Sorry about that. You may have to modify the row type and collation to match the proper settings for xoops. Also, you may consider changing the password hash in XOOPS to match what you had in Nuke Sentinel (cant remember where the setting is but it's there)...that COULD be why it's not allowing you to login....or you could just have everyone do "Forgot your password?"

*sigh* you guys are gonna have to dumb this down a little for me. Was I on the right track to begin with even? Could you give me a short example of what I need to do?

I didn't try the forgot password option but it's worth it if that is all that is keeping it from working. I'll try that today.

I had an idea so I decided to try it but I am stuck.

I exported the nuke user table as CVS for excel.
Then did the same with the XOOPS user table.
I made the colums and order in the nuke user table match what XOOPS had, then deleted the extra columns and saved it as a csv file.

I then tried to import the csv into the XOOPS user table and I keep getting this error:

Invalid field count in CSV input on line 1.

I removed the top row that had the field names and that didn't seem to help either.

It seems to me that this method should work if I could get past this error.

I imported the users!!! I am so freakin excited!!!

It didn't go flawlessly but it's not bad.

I have to find a way to reactivate the users en mass because none of them are activated anymore.
Users will have to do a password reset.
And the join dates didn't carry over.

If anyone can help me with the above that would be great

You would half to post the code so everyone can look/work with it. Its hard to help if we can't see the import code you have.

what code do you want to see?

I went to MySQL and made a dummy database then copied the nuke user table to it. I then edited the field names to make them match the XOOPS user table and deleted any rows that were present in xoops. I then renamed the original XOOPS user table. Then I moved the edited table to the XOOPS database as xoops_users.

Do you want a screen shot of the edited fields?

I lost my post counts too.

gah I made it worse!
I thought maybe because I didn't reorder the fields to be in the same order that it was dropping some of the values. SO I reordered them, then made sure all the settings for each field was identical to XOOPS and copied the table again. now when I try to reset my password and then use the new password it says incorrect login. *sigh* I thought I was on the right track :(

Tried again and this time I only lost my join dates and I can cope with that.

I am now trying to convert the forum and I have this error when I click the link for the Discussion Board:

Could not query config information

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1146 Table 'crabstrt_xoop1.CONFIG_TABLE' doesn't exist

SELECT * FROM CONFIG_TABLE
