Lexikon bug error

Hello lexikon module gives me an error when i try to submit a new definition.
ERROR: Database has not been updated due to an error.

Then i turned the debug mode and found out this error:

Warning: Class 'XoopsTree' is deprecated, check 'XoopsObjectTree' in tree.php in file /class/xoopstree.php line 45


Help please.

Hiya Monika,

fyi, I'm not sure when I became a member of the lexikon development team, but that's ok :)

I would completely, totally and utterly IGNORE that error message :)

Xoops is changing in many ways, and the code is one of them. The error message you are seeing is more or less directed to module and other developers to let them know not to use that function any more.

The developer is the author.
He probably started from an existing module, and that's why he credit two other people, who may probably not have been involved in the development.

In debug mode (from the page with the database error) which lexicon table related queries are listed?
Did you fill in all needed settings the module preferences and in module administration? Sometimes categories etc must be set up, before some modules function properly.

@Catzwolf when i saw the error i got chocked lol because i thought it was bug free.

I am afraid i am not a developper so i don't have the knowdedge to modify the code if that was your meaning

Catz you have sense of humour, that's really cool

I was asking what were you trying to do? Add a category or Glossary when you got your choking error?

lol Catz, everything works fine except when i try to submit a new entry it gives me that error. However, i can create new entries in the administration.

Please fix it and many thanks in advance.
