What do you want exactly?
(Convert .doc to .pdf? Have your users to download .pdf files? To show the content of .pdf files?)

If you mean "Upload a pdf file and make it available for users to download as a pdf file" then you will need a module that allows you to upload.

Many content modules allow this and that are "download" modules that allow this too.

I think you might need to explain what it is that you are trying to do a more clearly.
