How can this cause a blank page?

Will your banner function without the if statements (always shown)?
Else try single quotes around system.

my bad. i messed it up with cells and tables in the theme.html and that caused a blank page, not the code itself. the code worked just fine, thanks a lot guys. the reason why i didn't want to use it in a block is that I am trying to optimize the page CTR and I've noticed that if you put a banner in the block users tend to neglect it ( i dont know why tho). so it gets only about 1% CTR, when 5% CTR is preferable.

Glad you sorted out!
What tool do you use to obtain the CTR?

How could I create a block, which will show each of several images in turn, and when users click on an image, they will be directed to the corresponding website? I think that such a block could be used as an advertisement block.

Could anyone give some ideas and sample code?

Create a custom block for html and insert some Javascript scroller. Have a peek at the random image block from xcGal.

Dear ghia,

Thanks a lot!

By the way, if I want to rotate the images in the banner area, what should I do?

Thanks again,

What do you mean by 'in the banner area'?
Making use of the XOOPS banner system or replacing the place (in the view of the header) of it?

I meant to say that rotating the images in the upper right of the webpage, at the similar location to the image "sponsor" as shown at XOOPS.org.
