I am using XOOPS 2.3.1, yesterday I used the "Sync Forum" utility and some posts just went missing!?!?!?! I notice the post count within the forum is still there but I don't see the post.

From my (initial) tests after updating to 2.3.2a it looks like the problem is solved (thanks for the work DJ/devs!)

I didn't lost any posts when:

1. Updating the the module in Modules Admin (posts were lost before)
2. Synching the Forums via the module's synch function

This is only the initial test - I will compare the db before and after to check for sure.

I don't know if your posts are still in the database or, if they are, whether updating the module or synching the forums will resotre them. Sorry.

I've restored data from backup, lost post not found once sync or update newbb.

For those upgrading to XOOPS 2.3.1:

- Backup data.
- Do Not Sync or Update Newbb.

Better advice: update direct to 2.3.2a instead. It's more secure and the CBB issue is solved (I've just checked and not lost posts at all on updating the CBB module or on synching the Forums)
