WELL crap, it seems now you can't see it still with all the other themes other than the default I set,which is 1000ac grey

fixed it. whew
i notice Big Story is gone. Was that part of altern8news and if so is there another module like that? I kinda liked it

Look in Blocks admin at the blocks for your new News module - you should find something to your liking

Big Story was probably a block from alternat8news.... there's a Big Story block in News 1.62 which is probably the same thing.

silly me yes i found it. forgot to change from system blocks to all

The "xx more bytes" to "xx more words" hack works like a charm and is very simple to do

I'm only posting it here in case folks were looking for it
