1) Most of the time this is caused because your /xoops_data and the subdirectories below:

/xoops_data/caches
/xoops_data/caches/xoops_cache
/xoops_data/caches/smarty_compile
/xoops_data/caches/smarty_cache

are not set to 777.

So ensuring that they are all set to 777, would be the first step.

2) Did you install any other modules?

Hi,

you may try to enable debug mode (in administration -> Preferences -> General ssettings) and look for errors...

You may also try:
- update system module;
- delete (or rename it) adminmenu.php file in xoops_data\caches\xoops_cache folder.
..

You might try to de-install the Weblinks module and see if it helps.

One time I had a problem because the Protector was not properly installed (I didn't copy the files to the correct trust_path, which in your case is the /xoops_lib)

And follow Stefan's advise on turning on the debugger.

I believe there's a bug in 2.3.1 if you don't install Protector - although no confirmation from the core team yet. You can see the bug report at http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2168677&group_id=41586&atid=430840

To test if this is your problem, AND IF YOU HAVEN'T INSTALLED PROTECTOR then you can do one of the following:

1) Install the protector module per it's instructions - preferred method.

OR

2) Delete the ./modules/protector directory

Glad to hear that you've identified the problem.

Regarding Altys:

1) you need to copy the file altsys_functions.php from /extras directory (read the instructions in altsys_functions.txt)

2) also make sure that you copy the respective Altsys files to the trusted_path directory (this could be similar behavior that happened to me with Protector when I didn't install the files there, and the modules section was blank).

Try it and let us know if it worked...

I'm having the same issue, so I removed the last mod I installed - marquee. It then showed up in the uninstalled list, but no others.

Then I uninstalled one of the new profiles mods - it uninstalled and disappeared, still only the maruqee module is showing.

I turned on debugging and got no errors. When I view the modules page in admin, and view source, it's missing the bottom of the page code, it ends at:

and that's the end of the source code for the page.
