Is there a list somewhere of modules that work with the latest version of XOOPS 2.3.1? Or is it a hit & miss thing? i.e: some work and some don't...

I need a links module and download module at the moment.

Also, is there a doc somewhere that tells the process of updating old modules to the newest version of Xoops.

Not as yet.... but one would be very useful as we (the xoops.org community generally, I mean) need to get to work on this.
