The problem is that it is the default installation, without any module installed. I would like that some modules are installed as well on the demo site, such as News, NewBB, Contact Us, etc.
Look eg. to the exv2 (extended XOOPS version 2), which comes with a news module.
In it present naked form XOOPS fails miserable in the demo as Content Managment System, because there is no way to add any content at all!
Xoops.org should provide OpenSourceCMS a special crafted showcase XOOPS with installed and preconfigured modulepack, which contains already some example articles, themes, preconfigurated blocks, links to more information, etc in order to give the potential user a good look and feel of the real possibilities of XOOPS.
And maybe this pack could also be useful for novice users, which could have then a 'press one button' deployed XOOPS complete running with a default module pack installation.
