In open source projects, this is very unlikely!
I have not ever heard of such things in genuine XOOPS modules.
I only found once a hidden link in the geometric red theme as an attempt to have a better search engine result for some pills, but this is anyway far from to be called harmful.

I agree, although many cant really check whats going on inside because they lack of programming skills.

My comment was less referring to XOOPS but rather to those fake sites promising you the real deal and later you got "da bugz" or someone snatched your passwords and credit card numbers.
