hmmm, how about this error?:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class xoopspersistableobjecthandler in "xxxxxx"/modules/extcal/class/PersistableObjectHandler.php on line 13

am I right in thinking that it just prevents extcal from working? Shouldn't prevent the whole site from displaying, should it?

the only think i can think of is that the xoops_data/caches/smarty_compile folder is not writeable?

idk if this will help, but last week i updated a test site from 2.0.18.1 to 2.30.. and took some screen shots.

i see you found the error. that is an important one. Deactivate the module and see if the site shows up.

deactivating extcal did the job!
Now, to see if I can find any other bugs.

I have extCal 2.2.2 working with XOOPS 2.3.0 on PHP5 here:

I got no error messages during upgrade and have been able to amend things in admin like the date format.

Can't see any message's on Zoullou's website about it not working with 2.3.0

The only problem I've had with ExtCal 2.2.2 is the admin index not displaying, but I've had this in both XOOPS 2.0.18.2 and 2.3.0, so not a XOOPS 2.3.0 issue.

However, I haven't tried adding a new event since I upgraded. Will do so this evening and get back to you.
