My live site is running under XOOPS 2.2.X. I have a test account that is on a different "box". It currently has no web site installed. I would like to duplicate my live site on the test server so that I can test the upgrade from 2.2.X to 2.3. I can copy over all the files from the live site and I can create a new database then import the data from the live site. I know that I have to modify mainfile.php to reflect the new domain name in the path to Xoops. One issue will be that the database will have a different name, as the host servers set up new dbs with a prefix to relect the user name. What do I need to modify in XOOPS to reflect the new db name?

Any advice on how to do this duplication for testing purposes would be appreciated.

Well, as is often the case, a little closer study revealed the answers. I modified the appropriate areas in mainfile.php and now my duplicate site is working. I look forward to testing the upgrade.
