if you use cbb or some other modules that store some of its permission settings in the cache folder make sure you move those files in the cache (xoops 2.0x) folder into the xoops_cache folder (xoops 2.3x) or recreate your setting in the module.

(cbb has setting for category, forum, permissions, view, edit, delete)

All I see in my xoops_root/cache folder are a load of files called mod_newbb........newbb_rss.html - I assume these to be the rss feeds. What are the permission files called?

Hi,

I've been using XOOPS since 2003 but this new update is making me crazy.

I did all the possible changes that I read here and still can't figure out what is happening.

This is what I have in my mainfile.php

Somehow you're ending with two times /xoops_data
It should be only once, but I don't have an answer now why is it happening.

I found the problem. I forgot to change the template line. Now the upgrade will start... I hope!

Ah okay. I think I inadvertently posted the difference in a prior post but I wasn't aware of it and I don't think anyone picked up on it. So now do I make your changes and undo the changes that were posted?

Possibly the instructions need to be expanded??

No it doesn't exist there. The directions say to create them in xoops_data not in xoops/cache.

No I didn't set any path, the directions for upgrade didn't indicate I needed to do that.

The upgrade didn't finish. It stoped. I didn't receive a final message saying: upgrade is ok or whatever.

But I was able to enter in my XOOPS again.

The problem now is that all my words that have: ã, ç and é letters now have a symbol like this: ? and ?

Is there a way to avoid this problem?
