Header/Footer not updating ...

I just installed XOOPS 2.0.18 via my webhost's auto-app installation tool - ABKS Motorsports

Well, I can't figure out if its my host's service being gay or if XOOPS is really having an issue. But changes I make directly to a theme.html or style.css are not showing up immediately and some not at all.

If I view theme.html directly in the browser, the changes are shown. But when viewed via XOOPS frontend I see old cached files.

Any help would be OH SO welcome...

Admin - System - Preferences - General Settings

Check templates for modifications ? - Yes

After you're done with modifications, turn it "No" again
Support XOOPS => DONATE

I have a similar or related question. I upgraded an XOOPS site from version 2.0.18.1 to 2.3 but the footer info at the bottom of normal pages still says "Powered by XOOPS 2.0 © 2001-2003 The XOOPS Project." Yes, the admin pages say "Powered by XOOPS 2.3.0 © 2001-2008 The XOOPS Project." I have looked at templates and code but cannot figure out what to change.

Also, I recall that there might be some reason not to have that info in the page footer at all. Any advice?

Duh -- nevermind. I figured out how $xoops_footer is defined by Administration Menu > System > Preferences > Meta Tags and Footer
