Is there a module that will monitor pages for keywords and when they appear attach a hyperlink to the keyword(s)... As an example if I wanted the word 'football' to always have a link to www.nfl.com no matter where it showed up in the site?

In "article" module, there is such a feature.

Or this can be done via smarty plugin.
