Hi Everyone,
Im new to this forum and i tried searching for what i need and could'nt find it so im hoping someone can help please.

What i want to do is in the user profile, be able to add a field where the user can insert html and have their own page and own url like they do on myspace, i couldnt see this as a function and im hoping i could add this feature into the profile.Could anyone please tell me how i would go about adding this.

I was thinking along the lines of adding a new folder called mysite so the users url would be something like www yoursite.com/mysite/userid

I just dont know what code i should add to the profile, bit of a php newbie and i was hoping there was a snippet that could do this.

Any help on how i could do this would be very much appreciated
Thanks in Advance!

Sounds like you need a module

Try the "UserPages" module from http://xoops.instant-zero.com/

Sounds like it does most of what you want and no need to hack the core or code anything

Should be very straight-forward to install.

Any problems then use the dev's forums on that site; Instant-Zero's support is usually very good and Hervé and Marco from I-Z are well known on here

Is there anything like a "readme.txt" file or something in a "docs" folder?

Sorry - I've not used the module myself. Can you ask on the I-Z Forums?

One thing that you can do is turn on php-debugging in Admin>Preferences and see what's reported.

There seems to me no read me txt in the userpages module at all.
I did some digging and found that this error is causing the blank page when trying to access the module, can anyone help with this please as to whats causing this error?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function xoops_getmodulehandler() in /modules/userpage/index.php on line 14

Line 14 is as follows

$userpage_handler = & xoops_getmodulehandler('userpage', 'userpage');

If anyone could help me with this, i would very much appreciate it.

Thanks Guys
