X-Soap Patch for Shared Authentication - Xoops Server..

Hey does anyone want a patch for X-Soap you can get it off my bin it was written with XOOPS 2.0.18.1

What this does is add another authentication factory into the XOOPS 2.0.18.1 system, you can then put the plug in another XOOPS website and you will find that there are shared authentication with the main site.

Say for example you want to have all your users also being able to sign in with your XOOPS user account. You would use x soap here at xoops.org..

anyway that is an example..

Download Plug in and Patch to system at 32Kbs..

auth-xsoap.zip 32 Kbs

Thanks, wishcraft, for sharing this. It would really help, though, if you would publish a step-by-step guide for less sophisticated users as to how to implement it.

For example, I assume that you would first download and install the x-Soap module on the main site. Do you install it on the slave site, too?

Does the plugin go on just the main site, just the slave site, or both?

Does the slave site actually use the main site user table, or are they sync'ed?

...etc

Thanks,
Jere

That is no worries

Just has to live on the main site, but you will need nuSoap which comes with x-Soap and you may have to alter the include path for it on the authfactory files to the locations in x-Soap

The plugin is in the x-soap plugin path, on the site you want the authentication library to be authed by..

Well the user table is used at the main site but get synced to the child site, you would have to make a modification to it, where it tries a couple of auth factories to authenticate if you want to have users being able to registered on the child site.
