Step by step: From own template

I have searched on tutors and templates but cant find the answers to this, although I realise that I cannot be the first...

I have my own template in XHTML and stdCSS. Which are the basic steps to implement that into a XOOPS website?

Perhaps a link?

Perhaps many can bennefit from your anwser, Thanks!

Hi,

you may start here https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/category.php?categoryid=17

with some usefull articles about themes and templates. Make shure you understand th difference between theme and template (in XOOPS terms).

Thanks! Now I looked around and found this:
https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=575

...but still there is some ambiguity about templates /CSS.

1) Does XOOPS use standard CSS (in layout templates) or is it special Xoops-stylesheets?

2) What code are allowed into the XOOPS templates? Standard CSS? (X)HTML? Other?

3) What is XOOPS template-file extension? CSS? HTML?

Thanks!

I think I can help

1. Standard CSS. Put the .css (e.g. style.css) in the indiviual theme's folder

2. Templates are html files

3. Filename extension is .html

Regarding 2 and 3 above, take a look in any module's /templates directory (look in modules/system/templates for example) to see what's possible.
