I've just successfully installed Xigg into XOOPS 2.0.18.1. It looks good.

Installation notes: http://www.nhatban.net/modules/wordpress/?p=144

Demo: http://www.nhatban.net/demo/xoops20/
- user: xoops
- pass: xoops

Have fun!

It is default settings. I will not touch the designs.

Give it a try at the demo sites below. User name and password are ‘xoops’ for all.

1) XOOPS 2.0.x: http://www.nhatban.net/demo/xoops20/
2) XOOPS 2.2.x: http://www.nhatban.net/demo/xoops22/
3) XOOPS 2.3.x: http://www.nhatban.net/demo/xoops23/
4) iCMS: http://www.nhatban.net/demo/impresscms/
5) XoopsCube: http://www.nhatban.net/demo/xoopscube/

The above sites shares one XOOPS_TRUST_PATH!

Thanks Runeher

I've just added the demo for XOOPS 2.3 so the first and the 4th site has fonts problem. This is interesting. We can see that the 1st and the 4th are almost the same. I wish devs will take a look at this.

Anyways, I am setting these demo sites and hope you will have something to compare: their performance, their looks, etc. When I install a module, I will install it to every sites to keep your benchmark give good results.

The 1st is XOOPS 2.0.18.1 with extras/resource.db.php
The 2nd is XOOPS 2.2.6
The 3rd is XOOPS 2.3.0-alpha2
The 4th is icms 1.0 Final
The 5th is XOOPS Cube Legacy 2.1.4

These 5 sites shares one XOOPS_TRUST_PATH which includes Protector 3.16, Altsys 0.57, and Xigg 1.0.0b1. Note that Altsys does not work with the 3rd. It gives
Error: Class XoopsBlockinstanceHandler does not exist

Xigg is a clone of Digg http://digg.com/

Refer to my first post in this thread to know where to download and how to install it.

Quote:

Digg is a community-based news article popularity website. It combines social bookmarking, blogging, and syndication with a form of non-hierarchical, democratic editorial control.

News stories and websites are submitted by users, and then promoted to the front page through a user-based ranking system. This differs from the hierarchical editorial system that many other news sites employ.

People were waiting for xigg here: http://xoopscube.org/modules/xhnewbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=532&viewmode=flat

I've just been playing on your demo site (demos really add value!). :)

I wonder what is the bookmarking part. If I submit a site that somebody else has already submitted, I get the error message "site has already been submitted". I also "Xigged" a contribution by somebody else. is there anywhere an overview of the bookmarks/xiggs of each user within Xigg module
