Important question about IPs Flodding Xoops sites

I didnt really find this one posted here but
From time to time with my old installation of DRAGONFLY as a website
i would have an IP address which is FLODDING my website
it would be listed more then 200 or 300 times.
I know why they do this but lets not go into that now.

I wanted to know if there were a way with XOOPS to see If an A) IP is flooding my XOOPS installation?
B) What is that IP address?
C) Can this be shown as a BLOCK for admin visable only?

with this information i can goto my hosting control panel and block that IP address from the server completely

You can use the Protector module to log these IP addresses. You can then chose to ban either an individual IP address or, better still, a range of addresses.

If you (or anyone else for that matter) are not using Protector module then you really should be.

Yes - the IP address is stored in the module's log, accessed in the Admin Panel.

However, if you want to trace the IP to a place or ISP then you will need another tool. I use http://www.ip-adress.com/
