What are the steps to create a new admin-user with phpMyAdmin?

My original admin can't access the site, so I can't access the admin-page at all...

I am not quite certain which version I am on. Where can I find the version-number? It says 2.0 at the bottom of the page (http://www.smartsoftware.org).

1. If you don't don'y know your user-id (uid) number then, using phpmyadmin, navigate to the yourprefix_users table and find it there.

Then:

2. navigate to the yourprefix_groups_users_link table, find your userid number and edit your details so that your uid has an entry of 1 in the groupid column.

This should give you admin rights so that when you login you can get to the admin panel from the User Menu.

As always, backup your database before editing it just in case......

My UID is 1, and groupid is set to 1 as well... :(

Any other suggestions?

If you have protector, you may be blocked - check if that is the case (readme of protector).

You may request new pasword for the admin to be send to mail adress.

You may register new user and put it admin group - set group id to 1.

Thanks a lot to you all. I created a new user and edited the groupid in the groups_users_link-table. That did the trick! :)
