I have tried multiple times to fix this problem, read a whole lot of posts here in this forum and elsewhere, so I have given up.

I am aware that using a beta is not recommended, but the alternative - not being able to login to the site - is worse, so I decided to try it.

I would appreciate if anybody knew what code I need to comment out.

I wanted to upgrade to this version because I am unable to login to my site - no matter what user.

Now, in order to upgrade, I am asked to login... and it is not possible.

Can I change the php-code in order to skip the login?

Thanks a lot to you all. I created a new user and edited the groupid in the groups_users_link-table. That did the trick! :)

My UID is 1, and groupid is set to 1 as well... :(

Any other suggestions?

Creating admin-user with phpMyAdmin

What are the steps to create a new admin-user with phpMyAdmin?

My original admin can't access the site, so I can't access the admin-page at all...

I am not quite certain which version I am on. Where can I find the version-number? It says 2.0 at the bottom of the page (http://www.smartsoftware.org).

Yes, I would very much like to be able to override the user preference. I am about to get rid of inactive members, so...


Also, I would love it if bounce handling could be a feature.

I agree with Swain. I've got a list a mile long. To send them emails using XOOPS built-in mailer takes a long time - I have to click 130 times with 100-people on each page...

How can I optimize my site?

I would like to optimize my site, http://www.smartsoftware.org. Both the look of the site and the features, please.

I have a whole lot of articles, and would like to have them organized in a smart way.

Also, any help in finding a good download-module (one that would allow me to batch-upload through ftp, and then to change name and category in a simple way) and all other good modules for usability and search engine-optimizing would be highly appreciated!
