Hello everyone,
Excuse my bad English but I am Italian.
I have a site with XOOPS and have problems with the module CatAds, I hope that somebody can help me.
The problem is the bad Item path that CatAds write on top.
When you click on this link: http://www.sos4zampe.com/modules/catads/
You can see catads home page of my site.
Click, for example, the entry "Abruzzo" (first voice under the dog picture).
On the following page shows the following Item path: "Annunci (arrowa.gif) CaniAbruzzo. But the word "Cani" (Cani = dog in english and Annunci = ads in english), should be separated from the word "Abruzzo" with a arrow.gif ! Infact It shlould be: "Annunci - Cani - Abruzzo". Instead the words" Cani "and" Abruzzo "are united so it seems: "Annunci - CaniAbruzzo" !
Now there is the second problem, if in this page you try to clik the word "Cani" opens a new page, here you can see another bad item path: "Annunci - C" in partic catads writes the word "Cani" abridged! Only "C" and not the whole word "Cani". Why this 2 problems ?
I posted these two problems in italian XOOPS comunity but can not solve, and I need your help. Only you can help me because you are experts!
I do not know where I have to make corrections on the code.
I do not know if I was good in expressing problems in English language because my English is not good
Please help!

Catads is a very old module. I consider this module as deprecated.
I advice you to take a look at the module:
classifieds, which is a present module.

I know but I really like catads and expelled these two issues works well!
Furthermore, it is already fully configured for my esigence.
Sin ... Hope to solve :(

I use CatAds 1.4 with XOOPS 2.0.16 and the category names display properly. It may be a template problem?. Try re-uploading '/modules/catads/templates' and updating the module.

I like CatAds, but there are problems with sub-categories. Select a sub-cat directly and it works, but select a main category and the sub-cat links do not display inside it.

Excellent module, just needs a bug-fix!

Yeah it's true, too many bugs and no update ... Strange is a good module.
I had already tried to download a new catads and install it again but it's the same :(
Too bad, I can not resolve but if I use firebug by firefox I can change virtually the page and show it properly .... GRRrrr, #OOPS#ation I do not know what to do :)

I agree it's a great module. But would like to see a permissions feature. I'm going to give Classifieds a try.

Classifieds is very good too, but ads are deleted when they expire. With CatAds you can revive them for another period.

Depends on what you want I guess.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

Depends on what you want I guess.

Expired, than whoppa the add should be removed. Otherwise younget a bunch of old non active ads within your admin area.
Before the add expires the person gets a warning msg (as far as I remember) That way they have time to expose the add longer. But again. that is what I remember.
If not,.......perhaps a nice feature request for classifieds?

Ok boys
I had to give up CatAds unable to solve my problem.
So I downloaded MyAds which is similar.
But I have two "little problems" be resolved:
1) I would like the list subcat both vertically not horizontally, currently is:
Campania, Molise, etc..
But I would be:
Campania
Molise
Etc..

How I can do?

PASSWORD: test

2) In "Add An Advertisement in this category" page I can add only a picture ... I would like to add others, how I can do?
