This is a reach out to the XOOPS members,

A few of use are looking for the 2.1 version of XoopsGallery.
If you happen to have this version, could you send it to me, so i can post it up with a downloadable link, or if you like you can post it up with a downloadable link.

I have the latest release candidate RC4 of version 2.1 of Xoopsgallery. It's rather big (13mb) to mail so here's a downloadlink:

No membership needed, its a derect url.

o - what is the difference between xoopsgallery 1.3.3.7 and this one?
is just the new version?

The second Download link has a 404 error, but the first still works :)

2.1 version of Xoopsgallery is based on newer (2.x) version of Gallery, while, the older version is based on the previous version. 1.3x is muc easier to install, and is stable, but has some security issues

2.x was not finished in that it is not easy to install. Not sure if this version has improved the install, but looking at the install.txt from the doc directory does explain all the steps. I never got around to installing it successfully, may try with this one

i have file integrity problem with this pacakge
is it ok?

Hi all,

It seems someone else has to pick up the development of this module. I think it is very useful, but seems difficult to integrate it as a module with xoops. What do yu all think.

the 404 has been fixed, the host was the isue... lol
change the host and no more problem... lol

I installed Gallery 2.1RC4 successfully (once I read the instructions )

Well, almost. Trying to create a Local Server Upload Path under Site Admin. Keeps telling me "The webserver does not have permissions to read that directory." even with 777 permissions. I assume this is a full server path like a normal Gallery 2 installation? Any tips?

Anybody know if it's possible to upgrade the Gallery version? Can I just overwrite the files in the /engine folder?
